Personification


Personification is when you assign the qualities of a person 
to something that isn't human or, in some cases, to something that isn't even alive.

WALT: use personification
Remember to:
  • give an object human qualities by using the senses.

Her coat is a red, warm fire keeping her safe from the cold. The trees walked toward little red riding hood with their cold, rooty feet. The wind was whistling fiercely “ go back home, leave this place.”  The creepy, twiggy, tree branches grabbed at her as she ran past.
