Camp Recount

Screenshot 2016-10-31 at 12.11.23 PM.pngWe were soaking wet from the waterslide but we still dragged ourselves to the next activity. It was the one I had been looking forward to the most. I step into my harness and the parent helpers tightened the straps. It felt like I was putting on a big pair of pants, except they were a bit more tight than usual. The adult signaled for me to climb up the stairs. She hooked me onto the line and waited for the parent at the other end to be ready. When I was finally allowed to go, she unlatched the chain that stopped me from falling off. “When you’re ready,” she said. I looked down at the sight below. Little ant-like kids scuttled around the pond, screaming and shouting. Suddenly I felt butterflies in my tummy. The ground was very far down. I took a deep breath, and stepped off. I was zooming through the air, just like superman. In less than a few seconds I hit tyres with a ‘smack!’.

I felt relieved, but also pumped. I was ready for more.

As discussed, your next learning goal is where to break your work into paragraphs.
